Academy - The Champion's Toolkit

Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic says 'Building a solid foundation in the early years of a child's life will help him or her reach their full potential.' 'I want the same thing I've wanted since I was 7 years old, I want to be Number One.'

PTF Clay Court Academy selects Students who have a will to win and enjoy playing the game. It is our role to nurture this dedication and competitive spirit to try to ensure that Students will continue to enjoy their tennis throughout their future career.

PTF Clay Court Academy brings a new philosophy to training Tennis Futures players by basing the early formative years of skills and movement development of players aged 9 to 13 with on clay court practice and hitting.

The PTF Clay Court training disciplines centre around equipping these future professionals with their own Champion’s Toolkit – core technical, physical and mental tools that they will need to succeed in competition.

Training on a clay court enables Students to completely focus on technique, movement and endurance so that as they grow and gain in physical strength, they are ready to become masters of both clay and hard court game.

During term time, training takes place each day and at weekends and is co-ordinated around a child’s school timetable. During school holidays, the Academy provides match play opportunities with trips organised to European junior tournaments.
